Solo Art Exhibitions
Welcome to Fusion Art’s Artist Spotlight Solo Art Exhibitions. Artist Spotlight highlights individual artists who exemplify both exceptional talent and skill in their craft and have a cohesive body of work to showcase. Each month, Fusion Art selects one traditional artist, one digital & photography artist and one 3-dimensional artist (if the gallery received 3-dimensional entries) to promote by providing the artists with individual online solo art exhibitions.
The gallery created this solo art exhibition opportunity as a means for emerging, mid-level and, even, professional artists to gain more worldwide online exposure.
Four times per year, an Artist Spotlight competition will be held and up to nine winners will be selected. To qualify for Artist Spotlight artists must have a cohesive body of work to showcase with a minimum of five and a maximum of twenty pieces of art. The Artist Spotlight competition is an open competition. There is no theme and any subject matter and any media is acceptable. Any artwork that was previously entered and/or accepted into a Fusion Art exhibition may also be entered into Artist Spotlight. The artwork included in the Artist Spotlight Solo Art Exhibition does not need to be for sale.
The first Artist Spotlight competition ran between May 2 and June 17, 2017. The first Artist Spotlight exhibitions begin August 1, 2017 and continue for three months, through October 31, 2017. Both 2-D and 3-D artists were invited to enter up to five pieces of work as a sample of their overall body of work. Winning artists were then invited to submit up to an additional fifteen pieces of work for their solo exhibition.
Eight artists were chosen (due to limited 3-dimensional entries in this first competition, there were only two 3-D winning artists) and the winners are as follows:
August 2017 September 2017 October 2017
Traditional Michal Mitak Mahgerefteh Brian McClear Tara Merkt
Digital & Photography Carol Kleinman Nick Robles Bette Levine
3-Dimensional Irene Sirko Cynthia Cummings
Each Artist Spotlight winning artist receives a one-month solo art exhibition on the Fusion Art website. The artists and their solo art exhibition will be promoted extensively by the gallery on the Fusion Art website, individual online press releases to hundreds of outlets, in online event calendars, email-marketing campaigns, art news websites, publishing sites, and through the gallery’s extensive social media outlets.
In addition, the artists will receive a digital award certificate, event announcement postcard and a copy of the press release for their art portfolio. A video of the Artist’s exhibition will be created and available on the exhibition webpage and Fusion Art's YouTube channel. Links to the artist's website are listed on the exhibition page and should result in increased traffic to the artist's website.
Fusion Art's objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers, and other influential individuals in the art world. All inquiries from interested individuals and potential buyers are directed to the artists for negotiation. Fusion Art does not take a commission on any sale that results from the online solo exhibition.
Thank you to all the artists for participating in the competition. Fusion Art recognizes that it is not easy for artists to put their work out there and offer it up for critique by others. All the artists should be applauded for their efforts. We take this responsibility very seriously and, as always, we are humbled and honored that you chose Fusion Art.
Congratulations to the Artist Spotlight winning artists! Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us. We look forward to helping you share it with the world.
The 2nd Artist Spotlight competition is now open and accepting entries until October 14, 2017. Please visit the Artist Spotlight Competition Page for the prospectus and to submit.
