“After a thousand watercolors you will find you have fallen in love with paper and paint.”~Rex Brandt

Welcome to Fusion Art's first quarterly group juried art exhibition. The theme for the exhibition is Watercolor.

For this competition, artists, worldwide, were encouraged to submit their best watercolor artwork. The competition was open to all artists working in water media.  Paintings were required to be two-dimensional and consist of water-based media on paper or synthetic paper surface. Water media included watercolor, acrylic, ink, gouache, casein, egg tempera, watercolor pencil and watercolor crayon. Pastel or collage were acceptable as long as water-media was the dominant element. No computer-generated images or water-based oils were accepted.

The competition was open. Any subject matter was acceptable and the artwork could range from realism to surrealism to abstraction.

We received a diverse collection of quality watercolor artwork from artists around the world including the US, Canada, Pakistan, India, Australia and the United Kingdom. Eight artists were chosen to participate in the group exhibition, which will remain open on the Fusion Art website until April 14, 2017. During that time, the artists will be marketed and promoted extensively through Fusion Art’s website, in 70+ press release announcements, email marketing, online event calendars, art news websites and through the gallery’s social media outlets.

As always, we'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the competition participants. While not all the artist's who submitted artwork were selected for inclusion in the exhibition, this in not necessarily a reflection on any one artist's talent and/or skill.  It takes courage to offer your art up for critique by others and all the artists should be applauded for their efforts. We appreciate all of you sharing your extraordinary talent with us.

For anyone interested in purchasing any of the artwork in this exhibition, please contact the artists directly. Fusion Art does not engage in selling the artwork featured in any of its monthly online exhibitions. All purchase inquiries should be directed to the artist.
